Most of c drive storage is cover with our search history, all history save in EDB file.

How to clear EDB file ( search history file) in c drive:

Following steps and screens helps to know where the edb file and how to delete

1) Search for “Indexing Options” (under “Settings”). Open it.

2) Search “services” (or run “services.msc”) and find “Windows Search”. Stop the service. 

3) Delete the Windows.edb file

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\tmp.edb

Next go to the services.msc and select the windows search and stop the services to delete the file history in the c drive.

As per given below image you can see the stop option , after clicking the stop option it wont clear then we can do by manually.

when you stop the services it automatically clear the complete  history and you can check the c drive space have more space .
